How I got started

Camilla Sisemore

In late 2016 as I was recovering from brain surgery, I stumbled upon an unboxing video about a Sophie and Toffee subscription box.  It looked fun so I subscribed.  Prior to that, I had thought about making Christmas ornaments to sell, after being completely enthralled about those at Crate and Barrel.

Fast forward several years, and I found myself trying to make a succulent garden. This led to making planters first out of cement, and then out of resin. In 2024, I finally pulled the trigger and opened an Etsy shop to sell my items. I also had a booth at the local farmers market that summer - which was difficult, both physically (due to not having much use of my left hand & arm), and mentally, because it meant interacting with the public.
